Fist: lane assist is not available everywhere, as a matter of fact it did not work anywhere where I’ve tried.

Navigation itself is weird. One example: it tells you to turn left on highway when it actually means to stay on highway and not to take an exit.

Extras like unit converter will tell you how many millimeters there is in one centimeter, but converting between inches and millimeters is just too much to ask.

I’m not spending any more time discovering this “high tech” disappointment and I’m returning it.

I encourage anybody thinking of purchasing a Garmin Nuvi expecially the Nuvi 755T not to purchase it. You will be sorry. This product from Garmin has major problems. Garmin is constantly sending out software updates to try in a vain attempt to fix the problems, but it does not work. It will eventually fail. Garmin’s customer service sucks much ass.

I suggest that you steer clear away from Garmin if you are thinking about purchasing a GPS unit. I had an older Nuvi model that worked fine, but the newer Nuvi products from Garmin are nothing but trash.

I have not had time to hook this up yet but from what all I have heard they are the best. The product came quickly and without any problems. I am very happy with this service,

I recently purchased the Garmin Nuvi 755t and it is fantastic. There are a few drawbacks, but it is a solid unit. If you’re interested in a full review, I’ve posted one at Cause and Defect here: [...]

Enjoy!

BTW: I heard lots of Bluetooth problem with bluetooth enabled 7×5 series… This model (755) should be less problem since it doesnot have a bluetooth. My unit may arrived in couple of weeks…

Updates:

My 755T arrived several days ago. Quite impressive, but not quite satisfied with it’s ‘touchscreen’. It feels slugish. It also having issues with 3rd party maps. BUT… Yesterday, I upgraded it’s firmware to v2.50. Most of the issues were resolved, and the ‘touchscreen’ is getting better. The refresh speed is quite amazing.
