I think they mean that anyone willing to spend the TIME to master Illustrator can then create professional-looking results.
I’m not a professional graphics designer by any means, but I know enough about Illustrator to be able to achieve some rather good results.

Ah, the good old days, before Adobe made a zillion different versions of their stuff and got into suites and bundles and LE versions and God-only-knows-what. Marketing people have a way of destroying everything they touch.

Agreed, look at the works of masters like Miyamoto. He could school all of these new age hipsters who can’t even manage a gradient mesh.

A thing to be considered about these graphics packages’ marketing material: they always said that everyone could create professional-looking art with those software. But still only the ones with the skill can make good things.

Nice one… I liked the video a lot! I first seen Illustrator, I guess, around the 5th to 7th edition, don’t know for sure, but it was around 11 years ago… As well as freehand, like the 6th or 7th… Photoshop I guess I seen it first time around the 3rd version, and I can only say… Man those times were good!
Did you noticed when he says that the main purpose of the artist is to go for a PRINTED sheet? WOW…
Not nowadays… Web, mobile, print, TV, and who nows what!
Really nice! Thanks!
